Following the launch of the Lite variants of its flagship devices in 2019, Samsung has now announced its first flagship phones of the current year at the Unpacked 2020 event. Continuing the trend, three devices are announced: the Samsung Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20 Plus and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Each of them is aimed at customers in three different price ranges. The South Korean manufacturer also announced its folding smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, at the same event.
Samsung Galaxy S20
With a 6.2-inch display (3200×1440 pixels), it is the smallest of the three. The refresh rate of 120 Hz is supported. The main camera is a triple lens configuration (64 MP + 12 MP + 12 MP). The system is equipped with a 30x digital zoom and a 3x Hybrid optical zoom.8K video recording is supported. The front camera is housed in a perforated notch. The battery capacity is 4,000 mAh.
Depending on the region, the device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 processor (which is identical to 9830). Android 10, with Samsung one UI at the top, will manage the software department. It is dust-and water-resistant and supports wireless charging. The 4G variant starts with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage with the option to extend it via a microSD card. A 5g version is also available.
Galaxy S20 is also the inexpensive of the lot, due to the fact that there is no Galaxy S20e this time. It is available in sapphire, grey and pink.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus
The central variant of the Galaxy S20 series comes with a 6, 7-inch display (3200×1440 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The configuration of the rear camera is the same as that of his younger brother, but with an additional time-of-flight sensor to measure depth and distance. 8K video recording is supported. The selfie camera is located in a hole. To support the larger screen, the battery is overcome up to 4,500 mAh.
Depending on which part of the world you buy, the Galaxy S20 Plus will run with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990. A user interface based on Android 10 is the operating system of choice. It is dust and water resistant and offers wireless charging. A 5g version is also available.

The high-end version has a 6.9-inch display (3200×1440 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The main camera is a triple lens configuration (108 MP + 48 MP + 12 MP) with a TOF sensor. The end result is a 100x digital zoom and a 10x hybrid optical zoom. 8K video recording is supported. The secondary camera rests in a hole. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh.
Galaxy S20 Ultra works on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 chipset. The device uses the Samsung One user interface based on Android 10 as the operating system. It is dust-and water-resistant and supports wireless charging. The 5G version offers a maximum of 16 Gb of RAM and 512 Gb of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card.
